Vista - Windows explorers stops working when I click organize in folder wi

Hi all,
I've been trying to use "Organize" in folder window, but everytime when I
select a folder in the right side window, then I click the "Organize" on the
top tool bar (next to "Views"), the Windows Explorer stops working and
restarts itself. Has anyone had similar problem? How to fix this problem?

I had a similar problem and in my case it seems the culprit was a thrid
party windows shell extension that was adding stuff on the context menu.
Worked fine everywhere else, but wasn't so good with the 'Organize' button.

You can download a freware utility for viewing and enabling/disabling shell
extensions (called shellexview) from:

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html .

If that's not the issue, you can also at least mitigate the damage from the
crashes while you are troubleshooting (at the expense of some system
resources) by launching each folder window as a separate process. That's
under folder options/view/advanced settings.
