| | PDF files not being indexed in Vista Hi I am using Windows Vista SP1 (32 bit) and have Adobe Creative Suite 3 Master Collection (including Arcobat Professional 8.1.2 and Reader). I believe this includes the ifilter for searching PDFs. However, the contents of PDF files are not indexed, only the file name is indexed I have tried rebuilding the index but this did not fix the problem. Indexing service is on for the disk being indexed. All other file types are indexed OK. If I go to control panel select indexing options, select advanced, select file types. The entry for PDF is grayed out but is set to Index properties and file contents. Only the PDF file type is grayed out in the list. However, contents are not indexed. I can only search on PDF file name. How do I enable searching of PDF contents please? |

| | Re: PDF files not being indexed in Vista Hi, Seems like it should be indexing the content. Have you tried to reinstall Adobe Creative Suite? --Malu "Invicta" <Invicta@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:96C92EEE-3A15-4A37-A592-E3EB417D9B0C@xxxxxx Quote: > Hi > I am using Windows Vista SP1 (32 bit) and have Adobe Creative Suite 3 > Master > Collection (including Arcobat Professional 8.1.2 and Reader).
