Might depend on your version of Word, there is an option in most Office Components to auto create a backup every ** mins Since this is a Word question it should really be posted to a Word group "Mary B" <Mary B@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:E0F36A59-8FA3-4614-9F6C-0E01ABC1F399@xxxxxx

| Guest | Re: Word crashed where do i find the document I was working on? Mary In Word, open Help and type 'Recover' in the Search Box. Press the Search button. This show you the options and how to for recovering files. When working on an important document, you should get used to clicking the 'Save' button, every few minutes to prevent losing your work. -- Ronnie Vernon Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience "Mary B" <Mary B@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:E0F36A59-8FA3-4614-9F6C-0E01ABC1F399@xxxxxx
