Word crashed where do i find the document I was working on?

I have Windows XP and last night after hours of work, Word crashed and now I
can't locate my file. Is there a temporary file, or recovery file that Word
files documents when it crashes?

Re: Word crashed where do i find the document I was working on?

Might depend on your version of Word, there is an option in most Office
Components to auto create a backup every ** mins
Since this is a Word question it should really be posted to a Word group

Mary

In Word, open Help and type 'Recover' in the Search Box. Press the Search
button.

This show you the options and how to for recovering files.

When working on an important document, you should get used to clicking the
'Save' button, every few minutes to prevent losing your work.
