Temp File recovery

From hotmail I opened a word doc. I hit the save button but not the save to
button. I assume it opened in a temp file. I closed out the file. But now I
can not locate. I am using Windows XP. Can you hellb me recover this file

What probably happened is that you saved it to a temporary folder. This
folder might not even exist anymore, and if that's the case, I'm not sure
there's much you can do. You can try to ask in a Microsoft Word newsgroup
though.

You could try to search for file content, maybe? And use a sentence you know
was in the file...

Usually temporary folders go on the same volume as your Operational System
(usually C
