| | My Computer I cannot locate My Computer under the Start menu. Am I looking in the wrong place? Is it called something else in Vista? Is it common to be missing this component? Thanks. |

| | Re: My Computer Click on the start "orb." The menu that opens should show a wide white pane and a narrower gray one. About midway down that, you should see "Computer." Also, is there an icon on your desktop called "Computer"? Did this help at all? | | Re: My Computer Sync an iPod in Windows Vista Step 1: Start Windows Vista. You do not need to have administrative privileges in order to sync your iPod, only access to the Shared Folder on the computer (by default, every account has access to the Shared Folder). Step 2: Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB cable provided. If your iPod has not already been recognized as a system device, recognition will occur at this time (requiring the installation of drivers and software components that are needed in order to recognize your iPod). Step 3: Place music files you wish to sync to your iPod in the Shared Folder. You may also place your music in a dedicated folder within the Shared Folder (for example, a "My Music" folder). Step 4: Open the Sync Center by clicking on the "Start" menu followed by "All Programs," "Accessories" and then "Sync Center." Step 5: Set up a schedule for your iPod to be synced to, or simply choose "Sync" from the File menu to begin a manual sync. This will automatically update your iPod with the latest music from the Shared Folder. Step 6: Sync your iPod using a double sync method, which will prevent data loss on the iPod as well as upload music from your iPod to your Sync Center so you can listen to it on your computer as well.
