Vista Tutorial - where are vista pre-installed remote control drivers+registry entr

Hi,

I'll start off with the specs:
Q6600 @ 3.4Ghz
GA-P35-DQ6
2x2 Gb Patriot extreme memory 800Mhz
Hauppauge WinTV-HVR 3000
Vista Ultimate x64

Now to the problem:

The remote control, that came with the Hauppauge TV card, works like a charm
in WMC, except everytime i reboot, i need to reinstall it's drivers.. They
won't 'stick' in the registry.. Now i know the problem could be that there
are allready some Vista certified IR-remote drivers pre-installed in vista,
but i don't know which ones they are. (the registry entry(s) and the
driver-names).
I'd be much grateful if someone could give me those names, and locations, so
i can alter and/or remove those, so that they won't conflict with my own
remote drivers.

Hi,

Looking at their support site I would suggest following the install
instructions on this download page.

With one exception on their instructions when they suggest "Once done,
double click on the link to the install application on your desktop" I would
right click that icon and select "Run as administrator".

Also note on that page it states "Support for Windows XP/Vista" however, the
way I'm reading those instructions the drivers are not certified for Vista
or else you would not have to click install this driver software anyway, but
I could be wrong. If you look at the FAQ page under "Operating Systems Help"
Vista is not listed and the Vista 64 is definitely no where to be found.

that the drivers are not suited for x64 yet, however they work perfectly. The

Do you, or anyone, know for a fact that there are remote-control drivers
pre-installed in the vista installation (the ones that are supposed to work
with the WMC-remote?) And if so, can you please give me the names of those
drivers (and locations), and also the registry entrys that belong to them? I
wouldnt know where else to go look for those... Can't find anything on the
