| | disappearing epf file Every time I try to save an .epf file (digital certificate) on my computer, it immediately disappears. How can I save this type of file where I can access it? I have Windows Vista Home Premium version 6.0 on an Acer Aspire. Someone (another tech support center) told me that if the file is saved on the Desktop, it is redirected to: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\Virtualized\C\Users\USERNAME\Desktop but, although I have a C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\ directory, I don't have a C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files directory. So there's no use looking for it there. If I search for files named *.epf, I find nothing. |

| | Re: disappearing epf file Hi, David. I know nothing about .epf files, but my last-resort search file is good old Dir in a "DOS" prompt. (Yes, I know that Vista's Command Prompt is not really MS-DOS; that's why I put "DOS" in quotes.) Open a Command Prompt window and, at the prompt, enter: dir c:\*.epf /s/a If it's a big drive with lots of files, you may have time for a short cup of coffee. But if there is an .epf file on Drive C:, that should find it. RC -- R. C.
