recovering deleted search files

Accidently deleted files in a search folder. Most ofthe original file were on
the desktop. THE FILES DISAPPEARD FROMTHE DESKTOP! Can these be restored? If
so, how? They are not listed in the Recycle Bin! thanks for any help.

A search folder is just another way of viewing the files on your hard drive.
I'm sorry, I know this doesn't help in hindsight. It should go to the
recycle bin if you didn't shift-delete the files and the files being deleted
weren't larger than the recycle bin. If the files aren't in the recycle bin,
using a hard drive scanning recovery program like undelete is probably your
best bet.
