Skype and Messenger programs from their respective websites and reinstall the programs. If you've accidentally deleted the Recycle Bin (a common occurrence in Vista due to the poor gui design), here's how to get it back and prevent the deletion in future, all from MVP Ramesh: How to restore the Recycle bin icon that has been accidentally deleted - http://www.winhelponline.com/articles/141/1/ Hide the "Delete" command from Recycle Bin context menu - Ramesh - http://www.winhelponline.com/articles/142/1/ More on overriding the "Delete" command in the Recycle Bin context menu in Windows Vista: http://www.winhelponline.com/blogs/5...ows-Vista.html Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com Don't Panic! |

| | Re: finding my recycle bin Your Recycle Bin can be reactivated by right clicking the desktop, go to Personalize, in the left pane, click Change desktop icons, and check the Recycle Bin mark, and click ok. Your recycle bin is back on the desktop! As far as Skpye is concerned, you might try reinstalling Skype and see if that fixes everything (you will still have your number and all that the same). -- Dustin Harper dharper@xxxxxx http://www.vistarip.com | Vista Resource & Information Page Was this helpful? | Vista Home Premium 32bit | Re: finding my recycle bin HI. please try 1. Right click on Desktop > Personalize. 2. Click the Change Desktop Icons link on the left hand side. 3. Now you can just re-check the checkboxes for whichever icons you want on the desktop. 4. Now this new icon of Recycle bin that would be without the small Arrow on it will be working fine. Try it, it works |
