| | Administrator priviliges Hi folks, Some 3rd party applications recommend installation from an administrator account. Does this mean a "True" administrator, or is it good enough to right click the installer and select "run as administrator" and what is the difference? ....and the education continues. -- Dave T. | Vista Ult 64bit Windows 7 64 bit Server 2008 RC2 | Re: Administrator priviliges Hi Dave, I have had no problems when using the 'run as admin.' from the right click. I don't believe there is any difference except for the UAC prompt, which would not occur if you where in a full administrator account. Gary |

The recommendation is merely making sure you're on admin account before installation. As Gary said," Run As Aministrator" is sufficient. |
