| | Files (icons) shown in Desktop Hi, I have in the desktop folder of my computer several files and shortcuts. One of them is called 'Internet Explorer'. But the icon corresponding to that name doesn't appear in the desktop! What will be the problem? Thanks. AjB |

| Home premium 32 bit, SP1 | Re: Files (icons) shown in Desktop See if this work. Desktop, right click on Internet Explorer, click Send To, click Desktop (create shortcut). You should now have 2 IE shortcuts, one without icon, one with. Right ? If yes, delete the one without. Drag and drop the new one to the position you want. I need an icon in the desktop whose properties page says 'Internet properties'. I need not a shorcut. AjB |

Just a guess, but perhaps you can't see it because it's covered by another shortcut. -- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP - Windows Desktop Experience Please Reply to the Newsgroup |
