| | Unable to use previoius back up I recently purchased a new PC (Gateway w/Phenom Quad Core Processor). I am having some issues with software and network, so at Gateway's recommendation, I had to reinstall the system from factory recovery. Before I did the reinstall, I backed up my music, documents, photos, etc. After the reinstall, it will not locate the back up files, even when I direct it to the drive on which they are located (a WD 80GB USB external drive). I even tried to "trick" Vista by having it back up the new install, but that didn't help either. Any ideas? Do you know what I can do to get these files back? Please help! Thanks. -- SDM |
