duplicate windows vista and users file in the program tree

This is my dilemma. I was having some problem with what I thought was the
operating software at the time was Vista Ultimate. I decided to reinstall
Vista and did not get the upgrade selection. I choose to reinstall vista as
a clean copy. Afterwards I discovered that I had no program on the desktop.
I contacted support case#SRX1069131685ID and receive information to reinstall
vista. Followed the instructions which resulted in an error message” The
User Profile Service fail to logon,” at this point, I decided to reformat the
hard drive with the recovery CD to start over with the installation. After
several hours of reinstalling software, I find that I now have multi copies
of “Windows Vista, windows, windows. old and Users and Users. Vista
installed on my computer. I need help cleaning my system and reinstalling
Vista Ultimate. What do I need to do to remove the multi copies of the
software? I discovered this when I attempted to reinstall vista and still
did not get the upgrade option. This time the message was to remove or
rename”C:\Users” . How can I remove the multiple windows copies and “Users”
which should enable the reinstallation of Windows Vista Ultimate? Can you
provide any assist or solution to my dilemma?
