Locating Outlook 2007 data file

My hard drive crashed and i'm trying to locate and restore my data files from
my bad drive to my new hard drive.

Where do i find the .pst file? When i try to look through OUtlook, it says
it's in appdata/. There is no appdata subfolder.

Re: Locating Outlook 2007 data file

Depends on what OS and Outlook version you were using on the old hard drive.
Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer:
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm
http://www.howto-outlook.com/Howto/backupandrestore.htm

Re: Locating Outlook 2007 data file

\AppData is normally hidden

To show it, you'll have to change it in Windows Explorer:
Organize - Folder & Search Options - View
(.) Show hidden files and folders

When you do find it, place it in a folder under Documents. Then it will get
backed up when you back up your documents. You do back up, don't you!

Happiness is a recent back up!
