I'm trying to move the Public folder to a different volume. Help is clear, and I was able to move the user folder with no issues. However, the Public folder (under Locations) doesn't give me the 'move' option. It lists the current location, but I can't edit it or change it. Workaround?

Followed suggestions in this forum and others, including microsoft
support --nothing works to be able to get move button on location tab of
public folders.

In summary, I have disabled UAC -- no help; tried running explorer.exe
as elevated process -- no help; looked in my registry for a particular
policy that might affect, but no policies exist in that location.

Any further ideas?

Hi Jim,

Are you trying to move the "Public" folder itself, or one of its subfolders
(Public Videos, Public Pictures etc)?
