sendto

All the tutorials I've read on how to add items to the Sendto
list involve using the sendto option at:

%UserProfile%\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Sendto

I don't have this folder there. See sendto attached.

When I create a sendto folder in
Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows, it does not work.

Everytime I try to use the SendTo the attached List is shown.
See list attached.

thanks, anne

Re: sendto

Hello Anne,

This is a hidden folder in Vista. You will need to unhide the hidden system files first before you will see it. See the note under step 2 of this tutorial for more on this if needed.

Send To Context Menu

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: sendto

I'm sorry Anne, but there is not are no attachments in your post from this end for me to view.

If your Send To folder is missing, then you might try running a "sfc /scannow" (no quotes) command to see if that may fix it.

System Files - SFC Command

If not, then you can do a System Restore using a restore point dated before this happened.

System Restore - How to

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Re: sendto

Ran sfc /scannow It did not find any integrity violations.

I've had this trouble for months, but let it go because I was
too occupied or lazy to try and fix it. Had some free time now
so looked into it. System restore won't help because it doesn't
go back that far. Maybe this box came that way???

I do have a sendto something or other because when I right click
a file and choose SendTo, I get a my E, F. G, H, & J drives.

Now if I could only find it, I could add to it.

Re: sendto

Anne,

In the Start Menu search box line, type "shell:sendto" (no quotes) and press Enter to see if it can open the Send To folder for you to add to.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
