| | Re: Changing MIME's type in Windows Vista I am trying to associate files with an unknown extension, to an extension known, and recognised by Vista. For exemple I have a file named: an_incredible_thing.wow I'd like Vista to associate .wow files to text files, and open them with Notepad, for exemple. Does that makes sens? -- Hierome Gautier "Louie Kapp" <louiekapp@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:jbs7l4hknkrd2esgq1hsvape78qqapg048@xxxxxx Quote: > On Thu, 25 Dec 2008 20:10:28 -0000, "Hierome Gautier" > <hieromegautier@xxxxxx> wrote: > Quote: >>Hi, >> >>I am using Windows Vista, on a Toshiba Machine. You might right-click the file, choose OPEN WITH, and then when choosing, make sure the box to make your choice the default is ticked. If it can't be opened with Notepad or another text editor, then you need to go to Plan B - which I don't know anything about. |
