Windows has supported these types of junctions for a long time now, and it has always been possible for a junction to "point back on itself" like this; however, this is the first time that Microsoft has included such junctions out of the box. I suppose the antivirus program is bypassing the security restrictions on the junction, which is why it is entering into the hall of mirrors. You shouldn't run into this problem with any "normal" application. -- - JB Windows Vista Support Faq http://www.jimmah.com/vista/ |
