| Windows Vista Home premium | Windows Vista-Special Shell personal folders are normal yellow Hello,I have a problem with my personal folders which are Desktop and Music.I don't know how they changed from the shell folders to the normal brown folders, but I have tried to go into where the folder icons usually are and try to copy or move the folders I need, but it wouldn't work out.If anybody has a opinion or a suggestion,it would be greatly appreciated,Thank's! |

If not right-click the file/folder you want to change the icon for. Then select the 'Properties' option, which is generally at or near the bottom of the list of options. Then in either the General, Customize or shortcut tab if it is a link to your music folder select the change icon button. a window will pop up with selection of Shell icons for you to select, alternatively click the browse button to search your PC's files. If in the properties window under the General tab the box 'Read Only' is highlighted you will not be able to make any changes to this file/folder. You must first clear the 'read only' box. You may also need to edit your permissions for this file, you do this under the properties - Security tab. Hopefully you won't have to go through all the editing permissions stuff, it was all abit of hit-n-miss & a lot of pot-luck for me. Now i ill try to solve any problems anyway possible before i resort to messing with the permission of ANYTHING!! on my laptop. *!!* GOOD LUCK *!!* michele xXx |
