| Vista Home Premuim 32bit | No Indexing Options in Contol Panel I am using Windows Home Premium. There is no indexing options tab in my control panel under System and Maintenance. The Windows Search service is started, and there are no Administrative logs on the problem. The checkbox on each drive property windows is checked for indexing the applicable drives. My search results are totally incomplete--it misses lots of obvious file name searches. Anyone have a clue as to what is going on? |

| | Re: No Indexing Options in Contol Panel An alternate way to get to it is to type Indexing Options in the search box at the bottom of the Start Menu. That is what I usually do because it is faster than going through Control Panel. "Amelior" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message news:4b21b223de9db832d661f86861844f71@xxxxxx-gateway.com... | | Re: No Indexing Options in Contol Panel I know I've seen it in there, and maybe already disabled it, but I can't find it now. Is it called simply "Indexing"/ Or is there something in front of it? In other words, what is the full name in the list of Services? thx, -tom On Tue, 17 Feb 2009 12:38:24 -0800, Peter Foldes <okf122@xxxxxx> wrote: Quote: > Indexing you will find in Services where you can disable it if needed |
