| vista ultimate 32Bit | Reinitializing offline files cache in Vista I have had difficulty finding out how to reinitialize the csc (client side cache) of the offline files, which I no longer which to access, since the server is no longer available. Using the "Delete offline files" did not remove the Inprint of the server. The solution was to reinitialise the cache and start fresh. This wipes clean all your cached offline files-nothing will be left, so be sure you have a backup just in case! Information and procedure to do this was readily availabe for XP and earlier. It took ne ages to find a reference for Vista. I finally discovered that you need to edit the registery. See On a Windows Vista-based client computer, you can still access offline files even though the file server is removed from the network for instructions. Regards. Augastine |
