Cannot open certain files from exporer

I have searched and searched but only found people with this problem and Office (word) files.

Here is my problem, I use a program called SolidWorks. I can open the SolidWorks files from within the program. However, if I double click on the file from Windows Explorer I get a message that states it cannot find the file.

Please note, the message does not say it cannot find SolidWorks, it says it cannot find the file I double clicked on.

If I right click on the file and select open with (selecting SolidWorks) it works.

Word, Excel, PDF, TXT and others seem to work fine. I've contact SolidWorks and they say I have a problem with the OS and cannot help me..

I am running Vista Business x64 SP1.

Any suggestions?
