.NET SP1 (KB951847) will not install

    .NET SP1 (KB951847) will not install

    I have Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

    After doing a repair install, I had about 30 windows updates to install.

    All updates installed successfully except the following:

    Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update (KB951847) x86

    I've tried several times to install this update. Each time it goes to Stage 3 100%. But then it says "Update not configured correctly. Reverting changes."

    Any advice?

    I too have had this problem I just hide the update.
    I was told you have to have all .NET versions installed, I tried that too and still will not update.... heck with it

    You might be right

    I notice that Secunia PSI does not complain about the update. If Secunia doesn't complain, why should I complain?

    I tried again.... still, piece of $#!t won't install

    I ordered another 2.5 HDD just to install the 3 discs that gateway sent me....... i will have to do a clean install............here goes another 9.5 to 11 hrs
