File Association Doesn't Work

When I try to associate a file type with an application (either through Right Click> Open With or Control Panel> Default Programs> Set Associations) it does not work if the program isn't already listed prior to hitting "Browse" or "Change Program." I can navigate to the executable, and when I choose that program, it doesn't load in the Open With window.

I simply want my Sketchup file to open in Sketchup when I click on it. Please advise!

Re: File Association Doesn't Work

Hello Freshsqueze,

Reinstalling Sketchup to do a repair install on it may be able to set it as the default program to open the Sketchup file afterwards. You might also check to see if you can open the file from within Sketchup as well.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
