| | /user/public/music folder inaccessible. New to the forum and hoping someone can help. I am installing a program (Photo Story 3 from Microsoft). It is a simple slideshow program that wants to write to a file in C:\Users\Public\Music and it does not have permissions. This folder appears as 'Music' but when I look on my wife's computer it shows as 'Public Music', not sure why. My account is an administrator account and i went into the security settings and gave my account full control but it either isn't sticking or not working. At first it wanted to and failed to create the Music directory but I ran some cacls.exe commands on it that I found elsewhere and now I am down to this problem. The original account I used when setting this computer up no longer works, not sure if that would have anything to do with it? I would really appreciate any help anyone can give as this is driving me mad. Thank you in advance, Peter. -- pedz ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pedz's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/116677.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/vista-fil...nt/1217471.htm http://forums.techarena.in |
