Arf Files and saving from interenet

Hi i wonder if anyone can help. I have 2 questions. I have windows vista
evaluation copy on my machine.

1. What is an arf. file as all my files have been duplicated in this fomat
and i dont know if it should be happening and if i need to keep them.

2. When i download files from the internet it always says "for the security
of your pc this has been saved in a temporary file is there a way i can stop
this?

Hi,

1. That is not a native Vista file type, it comes from a media authoring
tool, see:
http://filext.com/detaillist.php?extdetail=arf

2. I've not seen that message, are you sure you're downloading with IE, or
are you employing a download manager?
