| | reading ISO files - MSFT own app fails in Vista I have several ISO files on my PC, when using WinXP .. I downloaded a free utility written by MSFT called Virtual cdrom utility to load up the ISO files and display files.. from the site below http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...olpanel_21.exe needless to say this application fails under Vista... does MSFT have an update.. ? or how do I load an ISO file so I can access the files it contains.. or does a 3rd party vista app exist to read this thanks kevin |

What gets me, is that Vista doesn't have the capability to mount ISOs built in, but Microsoft's Virtual PC does. Why haven't they included this capability into Vista? I don't want anything fancy: just the ability to mount and use an ISO file like a CD/DVD (after all, Microsoft's TechNet downloads all come as ISOs). In most cases, I have no need (or desire) to burn the CD/DVD. I just need to mount it.
