| | Documents Folder and Link Redirecting I moved my documents folder from c:\users\bob\documents to \\NAS\Data\bob\bob. I also moved my other directories from c: such as \\NAS\Data\bob\Links. If I try to create a link or shortcut to this directory, it always puts me into my music directory \\NAS\media\music. I don't understand why the link changes after I save it to go to the music directory. I want to create a Favorite Link called Bobs Documents and point it to \\NAS\Data\bob\bob. Whenever I do this, it redirects me to \\NAS\media\music. Thoughts? -- Bob |

| | RE: Documents Folder and Link Redirecting The links seems to work for directories other than \\NAS\Data\bob\bob. No matter what directory I try to create the link, they all save correctly. Once executed, the location changes to \\NAS\media\music. Thoughts? -- Bob "bobneedshelp" wrote: > I moved my documents folder from c:\users\bob\documents to > \\NAS\Data\bob\bob. | | RE: Documents Folder and Link Redirecting I finally got this to work. Looks like a bug to me. If I create a shortcut in the links directory and then use it for the first time by right mouse clicking and selecting Open Folder Location, it no longer reassigns the shortcut to the music directory. After that, I can double click it and it seems to work. Originally I double clicked the shortcut and it reassigned it to the Music link. -- Bob "bobneedshelp" wrote: > The links seems to work for directories other than \\NAS\Data\bob\bob.
