| Guest | Vista Duplicate Folders My administrator name is RAY and directly under the DESKTOP folder there is a folder identified RAY that containes numerous folders (10,201 W/1.3GB) Further down under C:\USERS\PUBLIC is another folder named RAY that has duplicate copies of all the above referenced files in addition to a folder titled APP DATA that contains an additional 8,075 folders w/202MB. Any change to a folder in either of the RAY folders makes a mirror image change to the other folder. Why are there duplicate folders? And can I get rid of one? I tried deleating the top level folder and when I rebooted it came back. Is this duplicaton normal??? |

They are not "duplicate" folders. The folder is in C:\Users\. You simply get a shortcut to your profile folder on your desktop too. |
