| | Search Problem I open the CD drive in Explorer. The CD root directory contains about 20 folders. I select Tools / Folder Options / Search and make sure "Include subfolders when typing in the search box" is ticked, then close, and type something in the search box. Nothing is ever found except folders in the root directory. I can open each folder and search for the files I need separately, but I can't find a way to use the search box to search for file names across all folders on the CD. |

| | RE: Search Problem yeah thanks ms on the lousy search tool. which works sometimes and then next time nothing happens or is found. using the same search? all i can think is that you have to add the file extension to your search like i had to for older excel file types. grrr. -- help "Jeff Richards" wrote: > I open the CD drive in Explorer.
