| | NAS not working hi, Windows Vista's Explorer fast queries a Samba drive my NAS doesn't support this how can I switch back to the XP way (without reverting back to XP) i.e. slow query a samba drive? this is not the NTLMv2 two issue I have set vista to use LM and NTLM. the issue I see is that Vista can see the device and see empty directories but if they contain files it locks up windows explorer! Thanks |

| | Re: NAS not working Welcome to the club. :-) I'm looking for a solution to the same issue, I have two NAS boxes of different brands, and so far, no joy. It's looking like I'll have to replace them with Vista compatible boxes. The issue is the version of SAMBA on the boxes, but neither of mine have an update available. :-( On Thu, 8 Mar 2007 17:23:15 -0000, "Adrian" <ag@silversprings.me.uk> wrote: >Anyone? > >"Adrian" <ag@silversprings.me.uk> wrote in message >news:9CCC7530-2443-450A-B3F9-74AE0A7FD8DC@microsoft.com... >> hi, >> Windows Vista's Explorer fast queries a Samba drive my NAS doesn't support >> this how can I switch back to the XP way (without reverting back to XP) >> i.e. slow query a samba drive? >> >> this is not the NTLMv2 two issue I have set vista to use LM and NTLM. >> >> the issue I see is that Vista can see the device and see empty directories >> but if they contain files it locks up windows explorer! >> >> Thanks >> |
