Security issue when moving a folder to inside another folder

Hi. I was trying moving with drag and drop a folder to another one and
windows tell me that I need permissiom to that. I'm the administrator of the
computer.

Both folders are in Desktop. I have windows vista Business.

Is this normal in New Windows Vista? It's supposed to be like this forever?

Regards,
Marco

There are two types of things that are displayed on your desktop:

1) things that are on YOUR desktop
2) things that are on ALL USERS desktop

Messing around with stuff on all users' desktop requires permission.

This is normal in Vista; however, I imagine this will be a lot less painful
in future versions of Windows.

Re: Security issue when moving a folder to inside another folder

Hi. No. All folders belongs to me. Besides, there's no other users. I create
both folders bu tI can't move it. Microsoft has a lot of work in the near
future.

Is any sp coming up? At this point, I can't advise Vista purchasing to
anybody. I'm sorry to microsoft.

My vista reboots it self shows me blue screens, a lot of things are not
compatible, software/hardware.

I had XP for a lot of time and never my computer has reboots or blue
screens. I never had a single problem with XP.

Regards,
Marco

Yes ... but there is an area in vista called "all users" desktop, which is
where programs put things that they want to be available to every user on
the system.

If you want to modify things in this area, you need to confirm with the
system that you are an administrator.

You should be able to move it by accepting a prompt for permission.
