Briefcase Dialog

When updating a briefcase, the right-click menu only offers a "Details"
option if an existing file is to be updated - it does not offer this option
if the file in the sync location is new.

Very unfortunately, only a few (~10) characters of the file name are shown
on the LHS, if the names of new files are longer than this and vary at the rh
end (e.g. by some revision code) one cannot distinguish between them at all.

Even when "Details" are available, it is a retrograde step to stop the user
seeing a full file name and instead to require them to right-click and select
details and then dismiss the info afterwards.

The prominence given to the sync path over the actual filename is
inappropriate.

Please revise the Briefcase UI.

RE: Briefcase Dialog

Add to this the fact that if one does have a Details option, if one choose's
to "Keep" the source version outside the briefcase (note, not "sync" or
"copy"), the default operation of "replace" (new for old) becomes "skip" -
ditto if I choose cancel. This is inconsistent and violates so many of MS's
own UI principles (e.g. that Cancel should cancel the change to something,
not the something itself)

The window cannot be resized. Why does the dialog not also it not follow a
folder style UI, and so allow a variety of presentations, which would include
under "details" file name, path, modified date, etc. etc.

The briefcase was historically useless; it became usable briefly under XP
and is now headed back to oblivion. I wouldn't mind, but Vista Home Premium
doesn't allow for syncing as an alternative.
