Please help, Loosing space some how??

hey guys i just installed vista home premium and for some reason i noticed that i'm loosing space:

i have a 250GB Hard drive and after installation i have about 230GB.
After installing my programs and stuff i want, i have 220GB.

BUT.... now for some reason i'm down to 218GB and it's lowering every other hour or so that goes by, what is wrong here??

I found a fix!!!!

this thread is no longer needed. all of those that are having the same problem please view:

This is a common concern. If you have been installing a lot of programs,
it's very likely that these programs have been creating a lot of restore
points for System Restore. Initially Vista will allocate 15% of the hard
drive space for restore points, so on your 250GB drive, this amounts to
37.5GB.

Once you get everything installed, you can use the Disk Cleanup tool to
delete all but the latest restore points, temporary files, and etc, to
recover all of that space.

I think it's too soon to remove all but the last Restore Point. Reduce the
amount of space allocated, here

Reducing the allocated space for SR will have the same effect as deleting
restore points. IMO, It's best to remove the SR points, once the system is
set up and everything is running properly. Then you can keep an eye on how
much space SR uses in normal operations. This will give you a better idea of
how space should be allocated.

There is a danger in arbitrarily reducing the space since there are several
backup modules depend on VSS.
