| Guest | Watched folder settings & smart views I opened one of the many icons at the bottom right of the screen on my new computer with Windows Vista Home Premium loaded. This opened a window listing all the folders on my system, with a title of "Watched Folder Settings". It says I can start or stop Folder Watching here, and that the service watches for changes to the selected folders and keeps Smart Views up-to-date. There is no "help" for this, and if I search support.microsoft.com for "watched folders", "folder watching", or "smart views", I get no results. Can someone tell me the purpose of this, or is it just a resource-hogging feature that is not needed? Thanks for any help! |

| Guest | Re: Watched folder settings & smart views Dorothy This does not sound like any Microsoft Vista product? It probably was installed by the computer maker. | Guest | Re: Watched folder settings & smart views Thanks - once you pointed that out, I looked further in a Google search, and found it is related to Roxio media manager.
