How to select Favorites in Windows Explorer

How can I set and access favorite explorer links, such as c:\program files,
c:\downloads, and etc. Otherwise I have to navigate to them from My
Computer.

Re: How to select Favorites in Windows Explorer

Right-click on the folder, drag it to the desktop, release and select Create
shortcuts here.

Careful, left-click will MOVE the folder!

OR Else,

On the Start-Run line just type Program Files or Downloads and hit
Return.

Re: How to select Favorites in Windows Explorer

Just use Downloads without the "C:\"

You may have to experiment a little for the other folders.

Re: How to select Favorites in Windows Explorer

In any Windows Explorer Window, dragging the icon in the address bar to your
Desktop will create a shortcut to that address. You can also right-click a
folder, and choose Send To > Desktop (create shortcut).

Too, if you enable the Navigation Pane in Windows Explorer to always be
shown (Organize > Layout > Navigation Pane), you can create your own
shortcuts under Favorite Links, at the top of the Pane, by adding the
shortcut to C:\Users\(Your Name)\Links.
