| Guest | Double Click to Open File Error Message Using Windows Vista Home Premium I get an error message when trying to open a document by double-clicking it. It seems to be only midi files associated with Cakewalk Sonar. The error message is "Windows cannot find 'd:\xxxxx.mid'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again." However, Sonar will open and the file will be loaded with no problem. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike |

So the file could be in your user account's Documents folder and you'd still get Windows first searching for it on the root of Drive D:? Very odd. I don't have the faintest idea why this would happen, although I'm sure someone else might. Since the problem only occurs with files associated with Cakewalk Sonar, I'd start by looking in that program's preferences. I don't have that program so I can't check, but maybe it has a default saving location? Maybe Cakewalk Sonar has a knowledge base that might help. I'm really sorry that I don't have an answer for you. Malke -- Elephant Boy Computers www.elephantboycomputers.com "Don't Panic!" MS-MVP Windows - Shell/User |
