| | Previous Versions config Hi is there anywhere i can configure previous versions? I would like to change what files are tracked, where they are tracked, and where the changes are stored. |

| | Re: Previous Versions config Uhhh...previous versions of what? If you mean previous versions of your data files (Word docs, etc.) then if you have the right version of Vista (I think Business and Ultimate), you can use Volume Shadowing the retrieve older versions. But I wouldn't say that it qualifies for a full-featured version control system. That would be a 3rd party application. And I'm guessing that such an application is what you will need given your stated requirements. I would also like to choose which folders get included/excluded in the tracking The scenario is this: every 3 hours i have robocopy copy all files changed on this day, to a seperate disk under a folder named with the days date, thus i can choose what files and folders are included. This works extremely well, the only downside is that there is no gui to get the previous version info, you have to manually go into the seperate disk and search through the folders. |
