No you can't do it faster, for some bizarre reason windows vista is
incredibly slow at copying things, oh and beware I've moved files from one
drive to another with vista and they've mysteriously disappeared. I'm now
back on XP.

Yeah I've also noticed that copying files on Vista is pathetically slow. Is
it because of the shadow copy backup feature? Hopefully Microsoft
addresses this issue in SP1.

How soon to SP1(I assume that is the 1st major patch?)? Does it make sense
that a computer over 3 years old could do something that a new computer
running Vista can not. I really do not understand why this would be an issue
except that Vista is trying to do to much and ends up doing nothing. It
appears the only way I can import family pictures from my saved CDS is to use
the import pics function which will lose the folders they are saved
under...using explorer causes "not responding" to occur. How does this get
by quality control or is it user error in my case? I have 2GM memory. Is
that not enough?
Thanks,
Tim
