| | Heading columns and tool bar settings Hi, I know how to filter files and everything.. I just want to know how to save it. An example: Everytime I open a window it shows in "large icons".. I don't like it... I'd like to open automatically in "details" mode. The same happens to the headings... when I open the picture's folder, the headings by default are: Name / Date Taken / Tags / Size / Rating... I don't want any of this info.. just need the Type and Date Created... Yes, I know how to see it by clicking the right button and selecting, but if I close and open again, the default comes back... I would like to customize and save my headings the way I want without having to do this setting over and over all the time. Thanks in advance! |

Go to the toolbar or tap Alt to display it | Tools | Folder Options | View tab | Apply to folders. You have to do this for each folder template. There are at least five. To see them in a user folder right click on the folder | Properties | Customize. Click the down arrow under "Use this folder type as a template". Open a folder for that uses each template, make the changes and Apply to all folders. -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell] |
