| | unable to view or change owner for files though admin rights Hi as stated in the subject, i'm not able to view or change the owner of 3 files (non system files). I've no rights whatsoever, not even replacing the file. I've tried changing the owner via the gui and takeown, but nothing works. please advice |

Check that the files are not in use and try again. If file permissions are inherited from the parent for these objects, you could try taking ownership of the container (folder) instead of the file. After changing ownership of the folder, the files should delete. If not, repeat taking ownership of the files themselves.
