Indexing Options Doesn't Work...

Hi,
I am running Vista enterprise (32 bit) and am not able to see the indexed
locations when I go to Control Panel -> Indexing Options. When I click there,
Indexing Options box opens and I get message “waiting to receive indexing
status…” and then nothing happens.
I have also tried to go to the search screen and then add a folder or drive
to the indexing locations but nothing happens and when I try to look at the
indexed locations, I get nothing.
Under drive properties, options are already checked to index the drive and
service is running. I am not sure what else to do here as there isn’t any
other option.

Any help that anyone can render will be great and appreciated-
Regards

Wasi

Re: Indexing Options Doesn't Work...

Hi Wasi,

It sounds like you might need to rebuild the index. Go to the link below and scroll down a bit for details on how to do it.

Hope this helps,
