why it is no more possible to select files with taste shif and ctrl and also
the
option select all in the menu not working

Normally it is still possible to do this, but the inability to select
multiple files has been showing up on some people's machines. No one
knows why. MVP Keith Miller wrote a script to correct the problem. He
says it does the job for most people. Get it here:

Right-click the link below & select 'Save Target As".

http://mysite.verizon.net/res18hr7/FixSingleSelect.zip

Then extract the contents of the .zip file & run the script.
