Syncronising mp3's with amended tags

Thanks for reading this, this issue has been stressing me so much!!.

I'm currently using WMP 11 to sync music on my laptop with my mp3 player. I
usually sync every few days, but then amend their ID tags more frequently.
But once the file is loaded, it the tags don't update themselves during the
sync. I have to to delete them, and then let the sync add the fresh ones in
their place.

I assume that this sync works by checking the file names, and if they
match....they don't bother overwriting them.

On another note, I've started using I-tunes with my 'generic mp3 player',
because my WMP is far too slow, it takes about 4-5 seconds to switch between
songs and about 8-9 seconds for the 1st song to play. - AND these MP3's!!
jumps and skip while playing.
