| Guest | I don't have C:\Program Data with Vista Home Premium My website hosting company say that, with Vista, they store a copy of my website in C:\Program Data on my computer. I cannot find C:\Program Data at all, but don't really know where to look. I can follow C:\Program Files through to Site, but this is a gif file..... Why can't I find C:\Program Data? What should C:\Program Data used for? What is going on in C:\Program Files Annie. |

| Guest | Re: I don't have C:\Program Data with Vista Home Premium Try this. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard. Copy this path: C:\ProgramData Paste it in the Run box, and click OK. This should open your ProgramData folder. The C:\ProgramData folder is a folder that stores user related information (for example, preferences) which certain programs on your Computer use. Generally the data there is shared by all accounts, because the program is shared by all accounts. The C:\Program Files folder is where the core files that run your programs are, including the programs' executable (*.exe file). | Guest | RE: I don't have C:\Program Data with Vista Home Premium False alarm really, when you know how.... my computer was set up with Hidden folders. To unhide it: Control Panel > Folder Options > View Tab > Select Show hidden folders.
