Problem using Low Power State

Hello,

I have just two days ago bought or rather had a brand new system built, its an Intel Core 2 Duo, and the problem I have is that when I put the system into the low power state, the Monitor goes off, but I then hear this persistant loud infact piercingly loud high pitched noise coming from the PC, only way I could stop it was to switch off at the mains, not something I like to do of course.

When I switch on again the system boots fine, no problem, its just when using this low-power state, its a feature I guess I could live without, but in all honesty, I would like to be able to use it instead of having to turn the Computer on and off when I am going to be going back to it an hour or so later.

Does anyone here know anything about this or can help in some way please..........I am new to Vistax64 and love my new system, but this is something that is niggling away at me at the moment.

I hope this is not in the wrong place, so sorry if it is

Many thanks

BlueNightmare

Since you had the machine built for you, I think I'd contact the
builder. It sounds like a fan going on and no fan should do that.
