| Vista x64 Ultimate SP2, Windows 7 Ultimate x64 | Re: Indexing... The check mark on the hard drive is to allow the Indexing service to search and index it. If you uncheck it, you will be left with the regular search everything Search. If you want to change what is or is not included in the Indexing, then this link will show you how to easily do it.
