| Guest | Brand new file extension? I have searched all over, and found nothing. I want to create a new file extension called "wry". And I don't really need to associate it with anything, but in case that bit of information is required for an answer here in this forum, let's say I want to open it with notepad. How to do this? thanks, weary |

Create a file test.wry right click on the file, select open you will get a window saying Windows cannot open this file, Select a program from a list of installed programs. note a check box in lower left, Always use the selected program, make sure this is checked select notepad, select OK Now any *.wry file will open with notepad when double clicked.
