"Stack By" weird results

I think the new Vista "Stack By" feature would be very handy and useful, but
the problem is it's practically no use to me, as it seems to show up "old"
files.

For example if I have some .avi files in a folder, then delete them, the
next time I use Stack By type on that folder, the 3 old files show up, even
though I deleted them.

It's also a pain since I like to Stack By "type", but "type" is never an
option on folders with music, video, etc - I have to manually add "Type" as
a column before it'll show up in the "Stack By" menu.

I've also noticed Vista HP seems to "forget" my view settings sometimes when
looking at (My) Computer - I like extra large icons, grouped by Type (i.e.
hard drives, removable, etc). But sometimes I click on Computer and they're
shown as a list (or small icons), and ungrouped.

Any ideas?

Thanks
