Vista - confused

I am new to vista can cant seem to figure this out.. I made a new file folder
extracted a program into it but when i try to delete it at start a new file
with the same same all the old stuff seems to come back.. I have tried to
empty recyleing bin, rebooting and it always seems to come back. any ideas
its driving me crazy

Try searching the Registry for the folder's name. Do you see any clues? It
appears that the folder is the default location for for a program's
function, or possibly part of the path to one of your shell (special)
folders.

I should add, that to search the Registry, collapse the left-hand pane
entries, in the Registry Editor, until you only see "Computer". Then click
on Edit in the menu, then Find. Type the name of the folder in the Find
box. You can use your F3 key to keep going to each subsequent "find next"
entry.
